Iglesia Ni Cristo Acquires Historic Church Building in California

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) has acquired a historic church building in Vallejo, California, formerly owned by the First United Methodist Church. Constructed in 1925, the 2,794-square-meter property features a spacious sanctuary with balcony seating and several functional areas.

This acquisition marks another milestone in the continued growth of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in Northeast California. The former congregation experienced a steady decline in membership over the years, which further worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually leading to the closure of the church.

Renovation works are set to begin soon to prepare the structure for the worship services of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. Once completed, the historic building will be transformed into a place dedicated to reverence, unity, and devotion to God.

Standing Tall in Ilagan City: A Newly Dedicated Iglesia Ni Cristo Worship Building

The Iglesia Ni Cristo has once again marked history with the dedication of its newly built worship building in Ilagan City, Isabela—now recognized as a true landmark in the city. Dedicated earlier today, December 14, 2025, the magnificent house of worship stands not only as an architectural highlight, but more importantly as a holy place of worship for the One True God. The sacred occasion was officiated by Brother Rene Panoncillo, Minister of the Gospel, who was sent by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.

The brethren were reminded of their sacred duty to never forsake the worship service, for God commands His people to continually gather and praise His holy name. As the doors of this new worship building open, the brethren of Ilagan City move forward steadfast in devotion and ever committed to glorifying God through faithful worship.
