The existence of the UST Museum's collection dates back to 1682 as a "Gabinete de Fisica", a room where medical students could study Biology, Zoology, and other requisite sciences in detail. It was a co-curricular arm of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, one of the first faculties founded in the University of Santo Tomas.

UST MAIN BUILDING 🖤💛🤍

Step into a living piece of Manila's history. Established in 1611, the University of Santo Tomas is the oldest existing university in Asia and has been a center of excellence for over four centuries.

Its iconic Main Building, completed in 1927, is recognized as Asia's first earthquake-resistant building and houses the UST Museum—the oldest existing museum in the Philippines. As part of the historic UST campus, a National Cultural Treasure, it continues to stand as a symbol of the city's enduring legacy in education, culture, and heritage. 📚✨
