When Pride Kills the Church

It is so easy for us to fall into pride—and in its truest definition, unbelief.

When we, as a people, stop praying for one another, stop seeking the Lord’s voice so that God’s will may be manifested, we enter into a form of unbelief. Yet many call this being “hard-hearted,” or even “standing firm.” But there is a difference between standing firm in righteousness and standing firm in pride.

If we become hard-hearted, we actually stunt our own growth.

See it like this: if the Holy Spirit, who hovered over that which was formless, had not spoken, then life would not have been created, manifested, or brought forth to grow. It is the same for us who carry the indwelling Holy Spirit within our hearts. If our mouths remain shut concerning the edification—the building up—of our brothers and sisters, then we ourselves stop being built up into the heart and nature God intended for us.

Rather than our hearts being like clay in God’s hands, our refusal to believe that God has given us a voice for His work in others causes us to become clay sitting on the shelf instead of clay upon the Potter’s wheel. We become stuck in one form. Our understanding stops being transformed. Our minds stop being renewed into the mind of the Kingdom and the King.

Without a forceful choice to speak rightly into every circumstance, we step off the Potter’s wheel of transformation and fall into stagnation, pridefully believing we are already fully fashioned for the times we are living in.

But this is the clay rejecting the hand that fashions it.

This pride is unbelief.

We become like Cain, dejected when blessing comes upon our brother because our own offering was not received.

Family, we must open our hearts to Jesus—not only for ourselves, but so that together we may be built up and fashioned in the name of Jesus. If we do not seek to pour into the lives of those around us with the Word of God that speaks into us, then we will slowly silence His voice within us.

Eventually, we stop asking for fresh blessing, and instead sit only in what remains of yesterday—the memories of when we once walked, talked, and proclaimed Him boldly to all.

Only God can build his church- so saint, prophets let's not be silent and build together.

Much Love Prophet Alex
