What has stayed with me is that it was women who took care of the children in this difficult environment. I find that wonderful, but also significant. I was very pleased with the human rights approach of your work. I Germany we are doing the same for some years. Because human rights are the appropriate tool to make the children more resilient in an adverse environment. Human rights spell out the dignity of the human being.

I was saddened by the reaction of one of the women on the team. When I asked her what the lockdown had meant in a neighborhood like Aroma, she was in tears. This showed how traumatizing these lockdown experiences had been for the residents when the government had rigorously enforced their policies.

I thank you and the women very much for your commitment to strengthen the children and to make them understand that they are poor but not without rights. May your work strengthen the children and make them more resilient.
