I’ve been freelancing since 2015, and I’ll be honest… it didn’t start cute. My first three clients ghosted me. I remember thinking: “So this is freelancing huh?” 😅
Late 2015, I finally landed steady work. It was intense: $100/day to write content full-time for 6 months. And when I say write… I mean 10,000 to 15,000 words a day. No shortcuts. Just caffeine, research, and deadlines. Then 2016 happe

You studied SEO. You learned the fundamentals. You started taking on clients or applying for jobs.
And then Google changed everything in May 2026, and nobody in your course or training program mentioned it.
Now your clients are asking about AI Overviews and GEO and why their position #1 page isn't getting clicks anymore.
And you're nodding along hoping they don't ask you to explain it.
That ends today.
Swipe through this.
It covers what changed, why it matters, and exactly what the new job of an SEO looks like in 2026.
Because the SEOs who understand this right now are the ones getting hired, and the ones charging more.
If you want to be one of them, this is exactly what I teach in my SEO mentorship program.
Real work. Real sites. Real skills you can use tomorrow.

If someone offered to pay you for SEO work right now, could you actually do it?
Not "I know what SEO is."
Could you run an audit?
Build a keyword strategy?
Optimize a page?
Report on results?
If the honest answer is no, that's not a you problem.
That's a training problem.
This is what fixes it. 👇
₱3,500. Self-paced. Real work. Real mentorship.

Just dropped 3 new tutorials with my mentees this week 🔥
Two were recorded LIVE, me and the team working through real SEO problems in real time.
Recordings, outputs, AND the full Claude conversations all in one place for them.
This is the stuff that lets you scale to more direct clients, get hired, and actually start making money as an SEO in 2026.
Not theory, not endless lessons and courses, just the workflow.

You need a portfolio, at least 5 years of experience, 100 testimonials and 12 SEO tools to land a client.
FALSE.
You don't need years of experience to land your first freelance SEO client.
You need a system.
The 5 steps in this post are the exact ones I'd use if I were starting from zero today.
Here's the catch though: every step needs you to actually do the work on a real site, and that's the one thing most SEO newbies need help with.
You have no idea where to start, what service to offer, and if you're doing your work correctly.
That's literally why I built my mentorship.
You work on a real, live client site with me guiding you every step, so you finish with the skills and the portfolio to land your own clients.
If that's the push you've been waiting for, my next batch is open. Click the link in the comments to sign up or send me a DM!
📌 Save this for when you're ready, and tag a friend who keeps saying they want to get into SEO 👇

You’ve watched the tutorials. Taken a course (or three). Saved every SEO thread you scrolled past.
And yet you still freeze the second someone asks you to actually do it on a real site.
Here’s the trap no one warns you about: everyone wants to hire an SEO with experience, but no one gives you that first real project to get it.
So you stay stuck. Still learning. Still not earning.
That ends here.
This isn’t another course you’ll quit halfway. You work on a real, live client website from day one. I mentor you through every step with daily live catchups, so you’re never left behind.
You walk out with what tutorials can’t give you: real experience, a portfolio that proves it, and the fundamentals that actually work on every client site.
You leave able to get paid for SEO. From home. Even if you’re a total beginner today.
The stuff that took me years to figure out on my own (I’ve been doing this since 2015)? I just hand it to you.
₱2,500, one time (one client pays that back many times over)
Small batches only, because I’m hands-on with you daily, so seats are limited.

Keyword research is the #1 skill people ask me about. And almost everyone starts it wrong. They open a tool first and start typing random words.
Tools come LAST. Thinking comes first.
This is the actual SOP from my SEO SOPs toolkit (the same one my interns follow in their first week). Six steps, all free tools, takes about 45 minutes once you get the hang of it.
Swipe through. Save it. Then actually do it. Pick any business you know (your friend's bakery, your own side hustle, anything) and run the six steps today. That 45 minutes will teach you more than 10 videos.
And if you want to do this on a REAL client site (with me reviewing your work the way a manager would) that's exactly what my 30-day internship is. Link to register is in the comments.
Getting cited by AI is not the flex you think it is.
Getting cited for the thing that makes someone actually convert?
That's what you should be excited about.
I've been deep in AEO and GEO for a while.
Here's what EVERYONE I've talked to seems to miss 👇🏼
AEO: write for extraction, not for reading
AI doesn't read. It scans.
If your answer isn't at the top, it's not getting pulled.
Answer first. Context second.
1. Build "citation bait" headings.
Literally write your H2s like search queries:
→ "What does [your service] actually do?"
→ "How does [your process] work?"
The model needs to know what the question is and what the answer is in a millisecond.
Most websites make this impossible to find. Don't be most websites.
2. Write the definition of what you do.
If AI can't explain your brand confidently,
it won't recommend you. Simple.
Oh and this:
Stop writing for "what is" searches.
Start writing for "why isn't" searches.
"Why isn't my brand showing up in AI results?" → buyer.
"What is AEO?" → not a buyer.
Write for the person with the problem.
GEO: your website matters less than you think
"But I spent $50k and 6 months getting the website done!"
I know.
But LLMs weren't trained on your site alone.
They were trained on Reddit. Quora. Industry roundups.
Crunchbase profiles. Publication features. Forum threads.
Your brand's authority = what the whole internet says about you.
Not just what you say about yourself.
So:
1. Get into the sources AI actually trusts.
Directories. Credible publications. Wikipedia-adjacent mentions.
Not for backlinks. For training signal. Different game entirely.
2. Be consistent everywhere.
Your name + your brand + your expertise
Together, repeatedly, across sources that aren't yours.
AI defaults to whoever is clearest. Be that.
3. Show up in communities with real answers.
One helpful Reddit comment mentioning what you do
can quietly compound for years.
4. Create something worth citing.
Original data. Original frameworks. A take no one else published first.
Be the source. Get the credit.
It's really extremely simple...
AI doesn't just decide if you're credible.
It decides what you're credible for.
If you're not shaping that deliberately, someone else is.
Probably your competitor.
