𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤: 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

The 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 - 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 held a Self-Defense Training at the Social Hall, New Executive Building, on 12 December 2025 as part of the 𝟏𝟖-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 (𝐕𝐀𝐖).

Atty. Christian Oliver Hife from the Philippine National Police Legal Service discussed an overview of the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004, types of abuse and violence experienced by an individual, and the impact on women’s psychological well-being. PMSg Reymundo Marmito of the Philippine National Police and Coach Jonathan Sandoval facilitated the Self-Defense training. The session introduced the basics of self-defense and Jiu-jitsu, culminating in a practical demonstration.

To conclude the series of activities, PCO Undersecretary Atty. Ruth Abigail C. Sestoso delivered her closing remarks, reinforcing the call to end all forms of violence against women, girls, and children.
