Project PWeDe Feeding Activity for SNED Learners

Today, March 16, 2026, Project PWeDe sponsored and facilitated a feeding activity for the SNED Learners of Lagao National High School a simple yet meaningful gesture that carries a deeper meaning than the meal itself.

Showing up to school every day is a quiet and real struggle for many of these students. A hearty meal prepared with loving hands is our way of cheering them on — reminding them that their efforts are appreciated, their presence is valued, and that there are people rooting for their success. By facilitating an activity that nurtures not just their minds but also their bodies, Project PWeDe hopes to encourage the students to socialize, build friendships, and create meaningful relationships as they embark on their learning journey.

It was also a timely celebration for the Grade 10 students who are in the final stretch of their Junior High School years, currently preparing for their much-awaited Moving Up Ceremony. This simple meal was meant to fuel their final push as they approach this milestone.

The food was lovingly prepared by the SPED teachers of LNHS, with the gracious help of supportive parents and the students themselves — a beautiful reminder that it truly takes a village to support our youth.

To date, Project PWeDe proudly supports 2 scholars and 2 partner schools— a growing testament to our commitment to uplifting IP youth and youth with disabilities.

Para po sa kaalaman ng lahat, mayroon po tayong batas na nagbibigay ng diskwento para sa ating mga kababayang may kapansanan.

Ang mga it ay nakapaloob sa RA 10754 o “An Act Expanding the Benefits and Privileges of Persons With Disability."

Throwback Thursday!

Project PWeDe Community Outreach:
Exit/Moving up Conference and Feeding Activity for SPED Learners

Last year, May 17, Project PWeDe sponsored and facilitated a simple exit conference for the Grade 10 students of Lagao National High School - LNHS’s SPED Program who have successfully qualified for and will be proceeding to Senior High School. The simple moving up ceremony recognized the students’ efforts towards their studies, the unwavering support of their parents, and the dedication of the SPED teachers.

The program started with a prayer, followed by a short congratulatory and farewell message from PWeDe’s founder, Ar. Psyche Desiree Een Castillo,UAP,RMP. It was followed by two special dance performances prepared by the students who then gave their individual farewell messages. The feeding activity for this event was sponsored by Project PWeDe and the generous parents of the graduates.

Project PWeDe will continue to cheer for our students as they enter another chapter of their lives. With the success of our SPED learners, we are inspired to continue our work in supporting and encouraging more SPED learners and young individuals to pursue their dreams. This was a big milestone for our young organization, that we hope will just be one of many.
