I pray we come out of this more thankful for the ordinary. “Ordinary” is a gift. “Ordinary” is more Divinely ordained than we thought. And when “ordinary” becomes less ordinary for a time, we long for it in a strange way—the errands, the commutes, the reading at a coffee shop, the once mundane. Glory was tucked into those moments we miss. Then again, glory could be tucked into this new ordinary too.

Also I wish I took more pictures of dogs out and about. Ever been inspired by a corgi?

I remember this talk pretty vividly. We were in Coron, and we had to put together a last-minute workshop for the youth who attended a different churches on the island. I remember God pleading with them to live in confessional community; to live and grow in His Word; to keep in mind that we are fully human, each in desperate need of God’s grace; to be gracious to one another because ministry is messy; to beware sneaking in the law when we’ve been saved by grace; and to remember that we are one in Christ (and division super sucks).

2019 was an action-packed year. Jet-lag 5ever. God took us to the Philippines and New Zealand to encourage and be encouraged by the beautiful believers who are impacting their communities with the Gospel. I have so many videos from this past year, I may do a recap soon for memories’ sake!

We went to Italy and Austria once with and met some lovely, faithful saints. I still think about these ancient roads and fortresses from time to time. Definitely itching for another adventure.

A canal palette. | Venice is unreal. I still fondly think back to its bygone pathways and picturesque buildings. It was hot as Sheol though.
