1𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙛𝙡𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

Cavite City, 03 June 2026 – The 1st Marine Rifle Battalion formally opened the Basic Safety Driving Training at Headquarters, 1st Marine Rifle Battalion, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City.

This seven-day training aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and awareness of participants on safe and responsible vehicle operation in connection with the guidance if the Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps that every marine should develop life competency skills.

Through a combination lectures and practical exercises, the program seeks to develop competent drivers who can effectively support the battalion's operational and administrative requirements while prioritizing safety at all times.

During the opening ceremony, LTCOL EDGAR S BERNARDO JR PN(M), Commanding Officer, 1MRBn, highlighted the importance of the training and reminded participants that safety driving extends beyond simply knowing how to operate a vehicle. He emphasized that being a safe driver requires discipline, responsibility, sound judgment, and adherence to established traffic laws and regulations.

The Commanding Officer encouraged all participants to actively engage in the training and apply the lessons learned in their daily duties, stressing that responsible driving reflects the professionalism, competence, and character expected of every Marine.

On 13 May 2026, the 1st Marine Rifle Battalion formally Opened the Marine Special Operations Training Class 01-2026 at the Basic School, Ternate, Cavite. A total of fifty (50) Marine students officially commenced the 45-day rigid and intensive training designed to enhance their combat proficiency, operational readiness, and special operations capabilities.

The activity was graced by the Commanding Officer of 1st Marine Rifle Battalion, LTCOL EDGAR S BERNARDO JR PN(M), as presiding officer. In his message, he emphasize that every Marine must be skilled, knowledgeable, disciplined, and physically prepared to effectively meet the demands of military operations. He further encouraged the students to remain committed, resilient, and determined throughout the duration of the training.

The Marine Special Operations Training aims to develop competent and mission-ready Marines equipped with the necessary tactical knowledge, leadership, and combat skills essential in accomplishing various operational missions of the Philippine Marine Corps.
