🎃🍂 Samhain (pronounced sow-in) 🍂🎃
The ancient Celtic festival that closes the harvest season and opens the door to winter’s deep rest. Many modern Wiccans honor Samhain from Oct 31–Nov 1 as a time when the veil feels thin—perfect for reflection, gratitude, and remembering our ancestors. Some individuals or groups may extend the celebration for a few days or even a couple of weeks🕯️🌙

As a massage therapist who loves all things body + earth, here’s my cozy, respectful guide:

🌾 Honor the roots
Samhain comes from Celtic traditions—not Halloween’s candy aisle. Read from credible Pagan & Celtic sources, and give credit where it’s due. 📖🍁

🍎 Offer simple gratitude
Create a small nature altar: leaves, apples, rosemary, a candle (safely!). Thank the land, farmers, and the hands that fed you. 🍎🕯️🌿

🧡 Practice gentle remembrance
Write a note to an ancestor or a beloved who’s passed. Share a favorite story, light a candle, keep it tender. ✍️💫

🌍 Preserve earth-loving culture (without appropriating)
• Learn from practitioners, not just Pinterest.
• Support Pagan, Celtic, and Indigenous creators/shops.
• For gatherings, follow “leave no trace.”
• Ask: “Am I appreciating—or borrowing sacred things that aren’t mine?” 🙏

👐 Seasonal self-care
Warm baths, slow stretches, grounding massage, herbal tea, early bed. Think cozy, not busy. 🛁🫖🧦
