It’s the highest banknote in the Maldives and honestly one of the most beautiful pieces of currency I’ve ever seen. It features a whale shark, sea turtle, vibrant marine life, and it even floats on water thanks to its unique polymer design.

But then again, that’s the Maldives in a nutshell: even the money is beautiful.

I checked the standard booking sites to verify and found prices of around $500 USD, so it is no joke!

From the moment we walked in, everything felt fresh, modern, and luxurious. Ocean views from the bed, a bathtub overlooking endless shades of blue, a huge private terrace, a hammock above the water, and a private pool that almost blends into the color of the lagoon. 💙

What I love most? You don’t just get ocean views. You also get tropical island views with swaying palm trees, which gives this villa a completely different vibe from many other overwater villas in the Maldives.

And yes… I may or may not have jumped straight into the pool after this room tour. 😂
