The Cordillera of the Ausangate is a stunning mountain range located in the Andes of southern Peru, part of the larger Vilcanota Mountain Range (Cordillera Vilcanota). It is best known for Ausangate Mountain, one of the most sacred peaks in Incan mythology and the fifth highest mountain in Peru, with an elevation of 6,384 meters (20,945 feet).
