For anyone with a Samsung smart TV.

Just a heads up, Samsung has initiated a change in our TV set up software. This has gone live today.

On set up, consumers will now be prompted to log in using their Samsung account.
A Samsung account will now be required to log in to, and use, the TV’s smart hub features.

The primary reasoning for this is enhanced security, and ease of linking the consumers existing Samsung eco system plus the following:
- Personalised Content Recommendations
- Seamless App Access
- Unified User Experiences
- Smart Home Integration through Samsung Smart Things
- Samsung TV Plus streaming service

If a consumer opts out, they will not be able to use smart features on the TV (apps, gamepass etc).
The TV will operate using the tuner and HDMi etc as normal.
