Rest in peace Kelvin McIvor, Dad, Mentor, Critical Care Paramedic & Incredible Human!
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kelvin McIvor in Qatar as a result of a medical event.
Kelvin served as a Critical Care Paramedic and Flight CCP with Hamad Medical Corporation’s Ambulance Service, providing advanced pre-hospital interventions, helicopter winch operations, and aeromedical retrieval.
Kelvin had been with the organisation since October 2008, initially serving as a Managing Critical Care Paramedic-Education Manager before transitioning to his flight role.
Before relocating to Qatar, he spent nearly 20 years with Wellington Free Ambulance in New Zealand as a Team Leader and Intensive Care Paramedic.
He also served as a Health Sciences degree lecturer during his tenure in Wellington. Kelvin holds a Master of Health Science (MHealSc) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences, specialising in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport, from the University of Otago.
