The home of Southland Rowing is the Oreti River,10 mins out of Invercargill towards Oreti Beach. It is the training base for around 200 rowers, including Awarua, Invercargill and Waihopai Rowing Clubs. Riverton Harbour and Lake Hayes are the other bases for Riverton and Wakatipu Rowing Clubs, which are also within the Association's geographical area.
