⚖️ Man Jailed for Sexual Assault and R**e Following Jury Verdict

A man has been sentenced to 7 years and 7 months in prison after being found guilty by a jury of r**e and two counts of sexual violation involving a woman more than 20 years younger than him.

According to court proceedings: 🔹 The pair had known each other before the incident. 🔹 After an evening at a pub, they walked home together. 🔹 The victim told the court she had trusted him and expected to be safe, but instead was subjected to a serious sexual assault while pretending to be asleep.

The court heard the offender was found not guilty on several other charges relating to earlier events that same night. Sentencing focused on the offences that occurred after they arrived at the property.

The judge described the offending as serious, and the sentence reflects the gravity of the crimes.

Meanwhile across Europe: 🇪🇸 The death toll from wildfires in southern Spain has risen to 13. 🇬🇧 UK officials say more than 2,700 people died in England and Wales due to heatwaves during May and June.
