With Purpose

This year I began full time study towards a Bachelor of Professional Communication. After job loss, and with the current economic and political situation i.e. decimation of the community and public sector by the coalition government, it was a choice of sitting on Job Seeker until things improve or upskilling. It's been a challenging transition, but I'm beginning to enjoy elements of it.

Community Connection and Resilience👨‍👩‍👦💪

He Toa Taua - Harbour Sport, in partnership with Upper Harbour Local Board hosted a Community Resilience Hui for the Albany community yesterday at Albany Community Hub.

The purpose of this work is to build community connection and resilience to support emergency preparedness. Harbour Sport, as a facilitator, is aiming to build capacity of the local community to develop and support sustained emergency resilience planning and a community-led response to an emergency.
