Bible Calligraphy Workshop

Brush workshops start at NZD$50 per person for up to 6 participants. A 10% discount applies for groups of 4 or more, and a 15% discount applies for groups of 6.

Hi, I’m Oscar from Oscar Ink Studio in Auckland! Writing Chinese calligraphy helps me find calm and nurture my soul. It’s like a mini-vacation for my mind—plus, it keeps me feeling youthful! 🌿✍️

The calligraphy in the photo is my rewrite of Wen Zhengming’s (文徵明) Lanting Xu (蘭亭序). Wen created many copies of Lanting Xu throughout his life. The version I rewrote was written by him at the age of 89.

Some of our greatest calligraphers lived remarkably long lives, and I personally believe calligraphy is one of the reasons.

We are now offering calligraphy Bible courses for churches, helping fellow Christians build a closer relationship with God through writing Bible verses, engaging in calligraphy art, and handwritten prayers, while also preserving Chinese culture.

To celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and promote the benefits of Bible calligraphy, Oscar Ink Studio will provide a free Bible verse calligraphy course (approximately 1 hour, using hard-pen calligraphy, suitable for beginners) for churches in the Auckland area during April and May. Interested church friends are welcome to contact us for inquiries.
