Gold and Silver Prices Jump Sharply
Gold and silver prices in Nepal surged strongly on Sunday, with fine gold gaining Rs 5,600 per tola to reach Rs 310,300, up from Rs 304,700 the previous day, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. Silver also climbed significantly, rising Rs 375 per tola to Rs 5,425, reflecting broad strength across precious metals. Dealers say the rise shows renewed demand from investors and buyers seeking safe-haven assets amid market uncertainty and price momentum abroad. The sharp uptick follows recent volatility in bullion markets and highlights how local prices often mirror global trends. Both gold and silver continuing to post gains could influence buying decisions among consumers and investors alike, as precious metals remain an important store of value in Nepal.
