Important Notes on the Short Annapurna Base Camp
Physical Fitness: Although the trek is shorter, a moderate level of fitness is required as you will be trekking several hours a day on varied terrains and gaining significant altitude.
Altitude Consideration: The highest point of the trek is Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters. Proper acclimatization is important, and our itinerary is designed with a gradual ascent to minimize the risk of altitude sickness.
Weather and Best Season: The best seasons for the Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), offering clear skies and ideal trekking conditions.
Packing Essentials: Warm clothing, a good-quality down jacket, comfortable trekking shoes, and rain gear are essential. Complimentary sleeping bags and down jackets are provided.
Accommodation: During the trek, you will stay in local teahouses, offering basic but comfortable facilities. Hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara are 3-star standard with breakfast included.
Meals: Full board meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are provided during trekking days. Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara are on your own, so you can explore various dining options.
Transportation: All flights and private vehicle transfers are pre-arranged for your convenience and comfort.
Guide and Porter: An experienced English-speaking guide and porter service is included to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek.
Travel Insurance: It is mandatory to have travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.
Flexible Return: Depending on your preference and availability, you can choose either a flight or a tourist bus for your return from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
