She grew up like an average Nepalese girl, going to school, helping her parents with chores when needed, taking each day as it comes. At the age of 20, she just happened to cross paths with the sport of mountain biking. There was only one other woman mountain biker when she first started out. Thanks to limited study hours, she had enough time to dedicate to cycling. Being a female cyclist she has achieved a lot in the sport.
