SEED
OUTPOST WORKSHOP SERIES : The SEED Team are delighted to be co-hosting The Outpost Workshop Series and we would like to formally invite you to join us for a day or for a full 4 day program in presence or remotely: https://moongallery.stager.nl/MoonGallery/tickets
It has been over twenty years since Earth last had all its humans on it. Despite this, space is still mostly inaccessible to the more than 7.5 billion humans who still live on Earth.
The upcoming Outpost workshops will take its participants to the future, where space is open to everyone and today’s space junk is turned into new space stations: the pillars of sustainable space exploration. Outposts will be factories, asteroid mining stations, fuel depots, observatories, or even gardens, libraries and art galleries.
The Outpost workshop series will provide a platform for critical discussions about humanity as a future interplanetary society. The event will take place at PLNT - Leiden Centern ( ) for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The event will conclude with the weather balloon launch to symbolically implement the concepts developed during the workshop sessions. Launch date to be announced soon!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT - In 1970, Earth Day came forth to provide a voice to the emerging environmental consciousness and to put forth environmental concerns among the people. In 2021, we are witnessing monumental changes to the balance of the natural world and how the human world, responsible for these changes, is responding.
Each person decides on his own how to celebrate this holiday: plant a tree, collect garbage, leave the car in a parking lot and travel by public transport, hang a birdhouse or just read a book about nature to his children...
The SEED Team has always taken a great interest in creating a sustainable Earth and we are trying to establish our practice accordingly by looking into small but concrete change towards a healthier planet.
At the heart of this motivation and energy lies a powerful shift in mindset. We encourage our team and clients to come up with creative, hopeful, transformative solutions that are built upon the principles of
sustainability and restoration. These principles require moving away from an extractive mindset – that is, taking as much as you can from the Earth to turn a quick profit. Instead, the goal is what’s in the best, long-term interest of all of us, the human and non-human communities that
share our planet.
The new approach is to respect nature and learns from nature. The idea is to stay hopeful, inspired by nature’s capacity for renewal when given the necessary freedom and opportunity.

Men build too many walls and not enough bridges.

Once again Moon Gallery( ) becomes an inspiration for the SEED Team and together we ascend into a futuristic journey, trying to imagine ourselves in 2025 when the precious collection of the artefacts has already landed on the Moon. A symbolic bridge in the centre of Leiden will connect two scenes - The Field and the Innovation Center( ). The Field will represent the Earth displaying the prototypes, demos and posters explaining the stories behind the artworks. While the Innovation Center will symbolize the Moon, showing the lander and the mini cubes.
We hope that you will join us on this futuristic journey connecting the Earth and Moon. We invite you to explore with us how to build “The Bridge” through art by joining us virtually via youtu.be/bS9jQ9d3X1o .
