He plays a stringed instrument and debuted with his fellow musicians in the episode "The Minstrels." The puppet was later repurposed for use as a background character in several Muppet productions, including The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, and Muppets Tonight. He further appears on the cover of the book Kermit Learns How Computers Work.
