Often underestimated, this animal symbolizes resilience, humility, and tireless work, serving as a fundamental means of transport for carrying water, food, and other goods. Its presence reflects the connection between people and the land, representing values such as resilience and dignity. Valuing the donkey is also recognizing invisible forms of labor that sustain daily life and ensure the survival of many families.

Located on the island of Boa Vista, the village of Rabil is an important cultural and traditional center. Local potters create unique clay pieces that reflect Cape Verdean identity.
