We have a new client who needs us to review and document their existing software. This is probably a couple of weeks of work. You'd start right away.

* You need to be a senior .NET/C # and Azure developer.

* You need to have experience reading other people's code and making thoughtful, helpful suggestions (even if the code is yucky).

* You need experience documenting and diagramming code and systems and making recommendations for improving them.

* You need to know software and web development, systems integrations, cloud deployment, and security best practices so you can tell if they have been implemented here and note what is missing.

Does the software work? If kind of, what parts do and don't work? Is it SOLID or is it in pretty bad shape? If it does need work, what kind of work is needed and where?

This needs to be more than pointing an AI at the repo. You need to be able to explain your assertions in a professional manner.

If the report is sharp, well-written, and has clear next steps, there is a good chance you would implement your recommendations. The client has plans for new features over the next several quarters, but we have to get a solid assessment and foundation first.

Come work with us in 2022!

We are looking for a full-stack web developer with 5+ years of experience for a 12+ month (extensions likely), 40 hrs/week contract starting in January 2022. The work is 100% remote for an end customer based in California.

We need a web developer who has worked extensively with .NET (Framework or Core) and JavaScript (modern syntax). This project and future projects with this client will also use Kendo UI extensively, so deep experience with the jQuery version of these tools is required.

For data access, we are building REST APIs in C # and accessing a SQL Server database via EF Core, so experience with these tools is also required.

We are using GitHub as a git source code repository, Jira for managing tasks, Jenkins for CI/CD, and Microsoft Teams for communication. The development process is scrum. Experience with these tools and processes is preferred, but similar experience is OK, too.
