I began knitting and crocheting in 2011 while my husband was deployed to Iraq and it quickly became a passion. Yellow Ribbon crafts was created in 2011 to showcase my creations and accomplishments with family and friends. Now I use it to share my knitting crocheting and other ways to occupy yourself during deployments.

I don’t know how something so light and fluffy can also be so warm. This mohair cowl has come along on all my cold-weather trips for a good reason. You can find the pattern on Ravelry.com by searching for “Kyra.” She uses one ball of fi*****ng yarn and a ball of fluffy mohair. In this case Avio and basic brioche combine for the ultimate squishyness (that’s the technical term)
