Four ABU graduates bag First Class Honours at Nigerian Law School
Four graduates of the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University have bagged First Class Honours at the recently concluded Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School.
The students are Onu Goodness Eyinehi, Zubairu Umar Farouq, Nwafor Thelma Nkechi, and Ibrahim Fatika.
It is a thing of joy for the Faculty and ABU at large to have its graduates attain such a remarkable achievement.
The academic feat reflects not only their individual brilliance, discipline, and resilience, but also the strong academic foundation and culture of excellence nurtured at Ahmadu Bello University.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, praised the graduates for the outstanding performance.
Prof Ahmed also praised all other graduates from the Faculty that have passed the Bar exams with various grades.
The Vice-Chancellor described the academic accomplishment as a "proud moment for the university and reflection of its continued commitment to academic excellence".
Ahmed urged them to serve as worthy ambassadors of the university in all their future endeavours.
Celebrating the graduates, the Dean of Law, Prof Salim B Magashi, commended them for their dedication and discipline to achieve such a remarkable feat.
The success, according to him, reflected the strength of the Faculty's academic training and mentorship.
He said attaining a First Class at the Nigerian Law School is a "highly demanding and competitive achievement".
"It requires sustained intellectual rigor, clarity of thought, and an exceptional grasp of both substantive and procedural law.
"These graduates have demonstrated these qualities in full measure, emerging among the very best in the country", he said.
He also said the success stands as a source of pride to the Faculty, inspiration to the current students, and a clear reflection of the enduring legacy of ABU law in producing legal minds of the highest calibre.
Prof Magashi also said the Faculty looks forward to their future contributions to the legal profession, the judiciary, academia, and public service in Nigeria and beyond.
The Dean, however, expressed hopes that those who were unable to pass the Bar exams at this attempt would make it in due course.
