The Design Industry Is Not as Safe as We Think.

What happened recently opened my eyes.

I couldn’t even sleep properly because I kept thinking:
“How many times has this happened to me and I didn’t even know?”
“How many clients have been contacted behind my back and just never told me?”

So let me say this to every designer and creative genuinely trying to build:

Protect your clients.
Protect your work.
Protect your brand.

The industry is getting wild. Some people are so desperate that they don’t want to build, they want to steal. They see your hard work, your years of consistency, and think they can just jump in and collect what they didn’t sow.

That mindset never lasts.

If you are a creative, start creating passion projects.
Create work you own.
Show your skills without exposing your clients to unnecessary risks.

Because let’s be honest people who undercut, copy, and chase other people’s clients don’t get hired by serious brands. Real clients don’t choose you because you are cheap. They choose you because you are valuable.

Desperation kills growth.
If you must be desperate, be desperate to learn.
Be desperate to improve your skill.
Be desperate to build your own thing not destroy another person’s.

One thing about me: I will always hustle clean.

If social media disappears today, I’ll print flyers.
I’ll print business cards, stand on the streets and share.
I’ll walk into rooms.
I’ll attend events.
I’ll start again.

I am not afraid to rebuild.
I take risks for a living.
I’m young, hungry, and ready to work.

What I will never do is steal.
I will never tear down someone else’s brand to grow mine.

This situation taught me a big lesson early
Move smart.
Protect your clients.
Protect your work.
And never let desperation turn you into someone you won’t be proud of tomorrow.

Build slow. Build clean. Build real.

If you’re a creative planning to earn consistently in 2026, pause.

Before you start shouting:
• “This year I’ll get clients”
• “This year I’ll make sales”
• “This year I’ll grow my brand”

Stop and breathe.

Because skills without sales knowledge = struggle.
We’ve been creating since 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025…
But somehow visibility doesn’t equal income yet.

Why?
Because most creatives don’t have a talent problem.
They have a sales and marketing problem.

You can be good at your craft and still stay broke if:
• You don’t know how to find clients
• You can’t communicate your value
• You are underpricing out of fear
• You sound unsure when someone asks for your rate
• You post consistently but nobody is converting
• You have followers but no buyers

Before you write new income goals for 2026, do this first:

Write down the truth that’s holding you back

• I don’t know how to price confidently
• I don’t have a marketing system
• I wait for clients instead of attracting them
• I don’t know how to sell without feeling awkward
• I rely on luck, not structure
