Here’s a touching, tearful short story for you:
---
"The Last Plate of Rice"
In a quiet village, a boy named Chike lived with his mother. They had very little—most days, they shared one small plate of rice. His mother always gave him the bigger portion, smiling and saying, “I’m not hungry, my son.”
Years passed, and Chike grew into a young man. He got a job in the city and sent money home every month. One day, he returned to the village to surprise his mother, but found her bed empty.
A neighbor handed him a note in her handwriting:
"My son, I was always hungry. But my love for you fed me more than food ever could. I am proud of the man you’ve become."
Tears rolled down his cheeks as he realized the truth—her sacrifices had been the real meal all along.

Here’s a short and sweet love story for you:

"The Letter That Found Her"
Amara worked in a little bookstore by the bus stop. Every morning, she saw the same young man pass by, always carrying a worn-out guitar. He never came in, but he always smiled at her through the window.
One rainy day, the man finally stepped inside. He bought a notebook, placed it on the counter, and slipped a folded letter inside before handing it to her. Without a word, he left.
The letter read:
"I don’t know your name, but I’ve been writing songs about your smile for months. If you ever want to hear them, I’ll be at the café across the street at 6."
At 6 o’clock, she crossed the street. He played, she listened, and from that rainy evening onward, their lives became one melody.
