MESSAGE🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Father’s Blessings and other Priesthood Blessings are given to provide direction in life, counsel and comfort as guided by the Spirit. In Biblical times, Father’s Blessings was the passing on of an inheritance and in many cases wishing that child long and prosperous life. Do not forget the blessings of the fathers to the children will always come to pass; “The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren” (Genesis 49: 26). This blessing was speaking for Joseph, until He became A Prime Minister in Egypt (Genesis 41: 37-44).
In our devotion today, how important are fathers?
Let me give you a shot on this story that I read in a book, with these words from one of Dr. James Dobson’s newsletters, before answering the question. “Some years ago, executives of a greeting-card company decided to do something special for Mother’s Day. They set up a table in a federal prison, inviting any inmate who so desired to send a free card to his mom. The lines were so long they had to make another trip to the factory to get more cards. Due to the success of the event, they decided to do the same thing on Father’s Day, but this time no one came. Not one prisoner felt the need to send a card to his dad. Many had no idea who their fathers even were. What a sobering illustration of the importance of a dad and his blessing to his children.” Dobson continues on by saying, “Contrast that story with a conversation I once had with a man named Bill Houghton, who was president of a large construction firm. Through the years, he had hired and managed thousands of employees. I asked him: ‘When you are thinking of hiring an employee - especially a man - what do you look for? His answer surprised me. He said, ‘I look primarily at the relationship between the man and his father. If he felt loved by his dad and respected his authority, he’s likely to be a good employee.’ There he added, ‘I won’t hire a young man who has been in rebellion against his dad. He will have difficulty with me, too.’” Dr. Dobson concludes by saying, “I have observed that the relationship between a boy and his father sets the tone for so much of what is to come. A Father is that important at home”. Fathers - make it a point to bless your children even every day. Look for ways to express your love and acceptance and their value and worth. Never too late to start, no matter what the age of your children. Words children always want to hear from Fathers are: I am proud of you, proud of the family you come from. Also, you have made me proud, you are the best, and you can do better.” Words like; “I’m proud of you,” “I love you,” and “your are the light of my life”, can make such a profound difference in a child’s life. Our words can truly bless and bring great rewards.
Fathers are important for children’s development and well-being. They provide children with a sense of stability and security, which is critical to their development. Fathers also contribute to children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social adjustment.
Fathers also help build children’s sense of self-worth and confidence, which can set them up for success in the future. Involved fathers play a vital role for children of all ages, and it is something that should be encouraged and celebrated.
Fathers also play an essential role in their children’s lives by setting an example for them both morally and behaviorally. A father’s involvement in his children’s lives is linked to increased academic success, social competence, and overall self-esteem.
When fathers are actively involved with their children, it helps foster a child’s sense of belonging and connectedness, which is critical for healthy development. In addition, fathers can provide a different perspective on life that can be helpful for children as they grow up.
Are you without a father, seek the company of one, even a foster or spiritual father. His impact over your life will be tremendous. May the Lord guide you to make the right choice in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

THEME: 🇬🇬THE FAMILY OF GOD 2
“For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named”
TEXT: ✅EPHESIANS 3: 14-15
*********************************
MESSAGE🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
To be in the family of God means to be accepted for who you are: loved, cherished, celebrated, and fully forgiven. And we come into sonship and the family by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. John 1: 12 says “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”. And in Romans 8:14-17; the Bible has this to say, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. To be truly integrated into the family, we must do things together and in unity to the glory of God.
I am very sure that we all have heard the statement; “the family that prays together stays together.”
I am proud to say that this phrase is true to our family because since we learned how to pray together - we have a family devotion and we are praying together, we have experience God’s peace, love and process.
We need to start now or it may never happen or it will be too late. According to a study of more than 500 family counselors, the following are the top traits of successful families:
*Communicating and listening
*Affirming and supporting family members
*Respecting one another
*Developing a sense of trust
*Sharing time and responsibility
*Knowing right from wrong, and doing the right.
*Sharing a religious core (heart talk) about your spiritual personal encounter with the Lord
*Respecting privacy, and focus on the Family unity and development to the glory of God.
We probably cannot act in general but we can move on individually for the good of the family in particular. We need to start now! Stop pointing the blame to the society in general but try to reflect to what extent we can contribute our opinion to the development of the family. May the Lord build us an ideal family, where love, unity, peace, and righteousness are the hallmark in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
