✨Ingredients:

1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

½ cup (65g) icing sugar (powdered sugar)

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

¼ cup (30g) cornstarch (for that melt-in-your-mouth texture)

A pinch of salt

Optional: A drop of vanilla extract or lemon zest for flavor twist 🍋

✨Directions:
1️⃣ Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
2️⃣ Sift in flour, cornstarch, and salt — then mix gently until you get a soft dough.

💡 Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp salt

2 large eggs

1 ½ cups vegetable oil

1 cup buttermilk (room temp)

2 tbsp red food coloring

1 tsp white vinegar

2 tsp vanilla extract

Frosting (Cream Cheese)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

½ cup butter (softened)

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2️⃣ In one bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ In another, mix eggs, oil, buttermilk, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla.
4️⃣ Combine wet and dry ingredients, mix until smooth.
5️⃣ Divide batter into pans and bake for 30–35 mins (or until a toothpick comes out clean).
6️⃣ Let cakes cool, then frost with the creamy, dreamy cream cheese frosting.
