POINTING:
pointing is the process of filling and finishing the joints between masonry units, such as bricks or stones, with mortar to provide protection from water and weathering and to improve the wall's aesthetic appeal.
COPING:
coping is the protective cap or covering placed on the top of a wall, parapet, or other architectural structure to protect it from water damage
THROATS
A throat is a small groove cut underneath projections (like window sills) so that rainwater drips off and does not flow back onto the wall
GROOVE:
A groove is a small, narrow cut or line made on a surface (like concrete, wood, or plaster) to make it look more attractive or neat. It is mostly for decoration.
