I'm not just human...
I'm a woman
A rare gem
If you could see through me,
Not only does blood pass through my veins...
But I'm more likely to be called and onion..

I'm tender and meek..
So why tend to take advantage of the weak..
Perhaps unknown to you,
You're cutting me bit by bit..
Exposing my weakness to the world...
I'm sober... I'm vulnerable
But with tears,
I look up to God
From where my strength cometh...
