Hearty Congratulations to Ajibade Ismail Aremu Nosiru Ayeni
On Your Appointment as the Eletu Odibo of Lagos
We proudly celebrate the prestigious appointment of Ajibade Ismail Aremu Nosiru Ayeni as the Eletu Odibo of Lagos — one of the most revered traditional titles in the Lagos royal institution.
The Eletu Odibo holds an ancient and noble role in Yoruba history, particularly within the hierarchy of Lagos chieftaincy. Traditionally, the Eletu Odibo is the Kingmaker, responsible for leading the council that selects and installs a new Oba of Lagos — a role that demands immense integrity, wisdom, and deep-rooted cultural understanding.
This honour is not just a recognition of personal achievements, but a sacred responsibility passed down through generations. As the newly appointed Eletu Odibo, Chief Ayeni now stands as a custodian of royal customs, a guide in traditional leadership, and a key pillar in preserving the heritage of the Lagos people.
From all of us at Àṣà Wa Gan-an Gan, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for a reign of peace, cultural advancement, and historic legacy.
