The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office mourns the loss of Deputy Naomi Dubreus, who passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, co-workers, and friends.

Deputy Dubreus was more than a member of our agency; she was a devoted wife and mother, a loving daughter and sister, a trusted colleague, and a cherished friend to many. Her commitment to serving others reflected the very best of our profession.

We ask our community to join us in keeping Naomi, her husband, their daughter, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We also ask that you keep our Sheriff's Office family in your prayers as we mourn the loss of one of our own.

Deputy Dubreus’ memory, service, and the impact she made on those who knew her will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Deputy Dubreus.

A heartbreaking morning in Mogi as the community and department say a final goodbye to a local legend K9 Bosco Retired K9 Bosco had to be put to sleep due to health problems after a decorated career serving from 2008 to 2014. Alongside Lieutenant Williams, Bosco was named the 2013 State K9 Team of the Year, leaving behind a legacy of hundreds of tracks and thousands of arrests.
​While he may be gone, his impact on the department and the lives he protected is truly irreplaceable. Rest easy, Bosco. Your watch is over. 💙🖤

​Ashley Cummins was a mother, a daughter, and a pillar for her family. On a day that should have been a celebration for her daughter’s 16th birthday, her life was cut short in a parking lot on Shelby Drive. Police say the shooting was a tragic accident involving a toddler and a firearm.
​Her mother, Carolyn Hamer, shared the chilling moment she saw her daughter’s truck on a Facebook post and knew som**hing was wrong. Now, this family is vowing to stay together to raise Ashley’s children, but they need the community’s prayers. 🙏🕯️
