Small (or medium) sized businesses most times find it difficult to market their business online. Even most big brands are always strategizing for bigger marketing goals.
Here are 5 simple and verified esay step to market your business online.

#1. BUILD A PLATFORM:
Having a platform is very different from building one. You could have an inactive platform. But to market, you need to build yourself a platform. A platform where you get known for a service you offer or a product you sell. A product where your personality could be perceived (if necessary). Give value. Give value. Keep giving value. While this is a long term strategy, it sure pays.
Get yourself a platform. Could be a website but most preferably, a social media account. A lot is happening on social media. Save yourself a spot on one and make yourself known.

#2. CREATE VIDEO CONTENTS:

Attention has now become a great asset. There’s a lot, seeking attention from your audience too. Lots of content flying around, problems here and there, competition everywhere.

You sure do want to grab people’s attention. Create video contents. They work. They’re good attention garners.

#3. POST CONTENTS WITH RELEVANT HASHTAGS:

Hashtag increases your content’s visibility. Very relevant hashtags though. Do your homework, get the hashtags right, write your content, include the hashtags.

This is key for social media marketing.

#4. GIVEAWAY DOESN’T HURT SO BAD:

A lot of people like free stuff, especially when you’re a big or known brand, they feel like VIP to receive (be honoured) free stuff from you.

How does it help you to market? It gives you a place in their hearts, minds or wishlist/to do list. Whenever they can, they will patronize you. And you know what? They’re the ones that sing your praise. You can even attach terms and conditions to the giveaway.

#5. BE CONSISTENT:

This fact wouldn’t even fade. Consistency gives dreams a chance to happen. You do not know when your big day will be. So, keep trying. Keep pushing. When the big day comes, you’ll know it was really worth it.

Being consistent also portrays you as strong, passionate and a go-getter.
