Dear prospective clients, this is wrong. It is unfair and unprofessional to demand free architectural drawings with the promise of awarding the construction job.

When you ask an architect to produce it for free, you undervalue years of training, creativity, and technical knowledge.

What happens in most cases is simple: when a drawing is not properly paid for, corners get cut. The architect or draftsman may reduce effort, skip details, or compromise quality just to recover what should have been paid for in the first place. The result shows on site in form of errors, delays, and costly corrections. Corners may be cut during construction to make out money for the construction by anyone who may accept such deal.

Construction drawings are not cheap, and they should not be. They deserve respect because they save you millions during ex*****on. Pay for your drawings, pay well, and receive the best service. It is better to invest upfront in quality than to regret later on site.
