Today, I want the whole world to know something that lives deep inside my heart.

There is no life without my mother.
There is no strength without her prayers.
There is no smile on my face that was not first planted by her love.

My mum is not just my parent, she is my hero, my backbone, my peace, my everything. She is the woman who stood for me when I had nothing to offer, the woman who believed in me when I was unsure of myself, the woman who carried my pain as if it was hers and still chose to smile so I wouldn’t worry.

Mummy, you are the reason I am still standing today. When I felt lost, your voice found me. When I felt weak, your words lifted me. When I had no direction, your prayers became my compass.

The world may never know how much you have sacrificed for me. They may never understand the nights you cried in silence, the struggles you hid behind your smile, and the battles you fought so I could have a better life. But I know, mummy. I see you. I feel you. And I carry your love with me every single day.

If I had the chance to live this life again, I would still choose you as my mother. Again and again, in every lifetime, I will choose you. You are the best gift God has ever given to me.

Today I celebrate you, my sunshine, my safe place, my superhero, my everything. Thank you for giving me life. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for loving me even when I didn’t love myself.
