Beloved! Jesus is both Lord and God, full of mercy, compassion and love. He is all we need, God made man for us. Our works must reveal our faith and trust in Him, as true faith must transform our conduct and thoughts with total commitment, willing and loving obedience to God. It is not enough to talk, hear and to know what others are saying about Jesus but, we must each accept and believe, stating categorically, who Jesus is to us by obeying and doing what He tells us with commitment and adoration. Beloved Jolly Lovely Brothers, Sisters and Friends! By the time we make Jesus Christ the centre of our life, we begin to think, reason, live and act as He does and wants us to, living a life of selflessness and sacrifice for the good, happiness and salvation of others because we now see in Jesus, the life, happiness and joy we seek and that our hearts earnestly yearn and long for. Ordinary Companions of Jesus'
..perceiving them to be uneducated, ordinary men, the leaders, elders, and scribes were amazed, and they recognized them as the companions of Jesus.
- Acts 4:13

The religious leaders recognize two aspects of Peter and John. First, they were "ordinary." Would observers say the same thing about us? Would they see us as ordinary, that is, as normal, usual, real? If so, that's good. For God works through ordinary people--like the disciples--to accomplish extraordinary deeds.
The leaders also recognized Peter and John as "companions of Jesus." Do we reveal that we, too, are companions of Jesus by the way we live our lives? How might we do this? By being a person of prayer and volunteering our services? Perhaps by making choices consistent with the gospel and by being a person of kindness, hope and joy?
How might I, in an ordinary way, reveal my companionship with Jesus today?

Living Your Life for Christ
We come to God through Christ alone, which gives us a oneness with God, the fruit of which is peace with God, which is the source of the joy in our hearts.
