Seeking God's Presence Over Essence

Have you ever felt like God wasn't doing enough for you, so you backed away from Him? You're not alone. Many people struggle with this same issue. But what if the problem isn't with God, but with our approach?

I believe that many people back out from God because they seek His "essence" instead of His "presence". We often focus on what God can do for us, rather than who He is. We seek His blessings, healing, and provision, but neglect His presence, love, and companionship. In His presence you enjoy his essence. But you can't enjoy his presence seeking only for his essence (i.e his ability, or what he can do for you only), because we serve a God that rain on both the good and the bad (Matthew 5:45).

But what if we shifted our focus from what God can do to who God is? What if we sought His presence, His love, and His companionship above all else?

When we prioritize God's presence, we'll begin to experience a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Him. We'll learn to trust Him, not just for what He can do, but for who He is. We'll find comfort in His love, peace in His presence, and hope in His promises.

Let's make a conscious effort to seek God's presence, not just His essence. Let's prioritize our relationship with Him, above all else.

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children". (KJV)

Knowledge is very powerful, it's very crucial because what you know is what give you an edge in life. For instance what you know about your God is what gives you an edge over devil and his cohort. Seek for God's knowledge anytime, anyday and you will be amazed of how you are moving from glory to glory as you behold him through his word(bible), through your pastor's teachings and through your passional relationship with God himself.
No wonder Apostle Paul cried out "that I may know him", because he understood that it is the people that know their God will do exploit in life (Daniel 11:32). God bless you all.

Isaiah 12:3 "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation". (KJV)

Naturally, a drawer or a fetcher is what you use to get water out of the well and without it there is no way to get water out. So is like a joy according to the scripture above, you cannot draw anything out from the wells of salvation without joy. Verse 2 of Isaiah 12 says "God is our salvation", and verse 3 says "with joy we draw water out of the salvation". So, joy is the frequency in which we can draw or fetch healing, miracle, breakthrough, abundance, and lot more out of the wells of salvation. Irrespective of the situation or the challenges, never lose you joy. Devil knows he can win over you if you joy is intact but once he's able to get your joy gauge down then devil has already won the battle. Stay joyful at all times and you will continue to win the battle at all times. Never give room to depression, never give room to sadness, never give room to what will kill your joy, but rather stay joyful because that is the secret of drawing water out of the wells of salvation.

Habakkuk 2:3 "But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed". (NLT)

Never get wearied or tired about focusing on your God given vision because it's for an appointed time. It may be slow but it is better to be slow and sure than to be fast and fall. People may mock you but stay at it, people may not understand you but don't give up at it, people may say you are wasting your time or you don't know what you are doing but keep pushing. There is a saying that "if the going gets tougher then the tougher keeps going". The day you give up on your God given vision is the day you lose. You are not a failure because you lose, you are a failure because you give up. Jesus never promised a challenge-free life but he promised a winner and a victory life. So, as Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of FAITH". Keep having faith in your vision and get to work, and I can guarantee you a blessed life awaiting you! Never stop!

Psalm 23:1 say "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want".

There are shepherds and there are shepherds but it's so interesting and so good to have a faithful shepherd. Jesus isn't just a shepherd but he's a good and faithful shepherd to his sheep. And the scripture above tells you as a sheep that your needs are taking care off to the extent that you don't have to bother or worry about your wants anymore because of the faithful shepherd you have in your life. Need is "now" while Want is "tomorrow" and the scripture says the two would be taken care of because of the great shepherd Jesus. But just as Deuteronomy 28:1 says, all you need to do to enjoy all that the great shepherd have in store for you is to diligently hearken to the great shepherd voice and you will begin to enjoy all that he has prepared for you. There is a saying that says "follow who know road". Beloveth, Jesus knows the way to your great destination but if you must follow who know road then you must obey the instructions of him that know road. Reach out to your great shepherd today and you will testify soon of his faithfulness for your life. Shalom!
