HAPPY RESUMPTION TO EVERYONE

Efficient Digital skills is becoming a reality among the rural youngsters.

Education is the best legacy a generation can give to it young ones. The rate of increase in the number of both private and public schools in the country is alarming, with this one will think the more schools we have the more our younger ones should be able to read and write fluently. But the reverse is the case where we have schools with no functional physical or digital library to promote the reading culture among our primary school learners and expose the teachers to 21st century teaching resources.
Thousands of learners are being graduated every year from our primary schools who cannot even write their names correctly, "what do we make of this?"

-Real Library Initiative, we are not here to complain about this situation, but to tell the world that we have got a solution to this.
And the solution is to ensure we have a functional DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL LIBRARY in all our primary schools across the nation (most especially in the rural communities) to enhance the reading culture among our learners and give our teachers access to 21st century teaching and learning resources.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step... We will be starting this impactful journey with our placement school under Teach for Nigeria Fellowship which is Community International Primary School, Imeko, Ogun State. We will be needing your support, advice, contribution and prayers to make this a huge success.

We are planning to build a library which will be well equipped with computer facilities and relevant books. We will also to organize computer literacy training for the teachers and pupils within this community. We therefore look forward to your advice, words of encouragement and incessant support for the success of this project.

Cheers! It's our pleasure to welcome you to DIGI-Real Library Initiative! DIGI-Real Library Initiative is targeted at eradicating digital illiteracy and poor reading culture among primary school pupils in low income communities.
It has been discovered overtime that many learners in rural communities don't have access to both digital and real (physical) library and this is one of the leading cause of poor academic performance among them.

Teach for Nigeria Fellowship is a transformational leadership program that equips it's fellows with transferable skills to effect change beyond the classroom in the community we serve.
As a second year fellow placed at community International Primary School, Imeko, Ogun State we have identified lack of good reading culture and poor literacy skill as a disheartening challenge among learners within our placement community.
We therefore wish to embark on this project titled DIGI-Real Library Initiative, which we believe will solve the challenge of poor reading culture and facilitate good academic performance, likewise the learners will not lag behind in the 21st century digital skills but will be able to compete with their peers in other part of the world.
