POLICE FOIL BANDIT ATTACK IN SOKOTO, KILL ONE, RECOVER AK-47

The Sokoto State Police Command has foiled a bandit attack on Daraye Village in Wamako Local Government Area, killing one suspected bandit and recovering an AK-47 rifle with live ammunition.

According to the police, security operatives responded to a distress call in the early hours of Saturday and engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to flee into the forest with gunshot wounds. A subsequent search of the area led to the neutralisation of one suspected bandit and the recovery of the weapon.
