Why Is It Becoming Hard for the Younger Generation to Carry the Anointing of the Fathers?

One of the greatest reasons is the loss of honor. Many desire the anointing, but few are willing to embrace the humility, submission, and sacrifice that often preceded it.

In Scripture, honor often came before impartation. shows that faithfully served before receiving a double portion of his spirit. He did not chase power—he honored the vessel God had chosen.

Today, many admire the results of spiritual fathers but overlook the years of prayer, discipline, brokenness, and faithful service that shaped their lives. We often want the mantle without the process, the platform without preparation, and the glory without the cross.

Honor does not mean idolizing a person; it means recognizing God's work in them, learning with humility, and showing respect for the grace He has placed on their lives. When honor disappears, teachability fades, and where there is no teachable spirit, spiritual inheritance becomes difficult.

If this generation will recover honor, humility, faithfulness, and a genuine hunger for God, we will not only celebrate the anointing of the fathers—we will carry it faithfully and pass it on to the next generation.
