When community shows up, it shows up big. 💛

In February, Baltimore Relief Network hosted our second SAFE Program Senior Shopping Event at The Compassion Center, serving 98 neighbors ages 60+ and those living with disabilities.

This event was powered by a beautiful collaboration between two faith communities:

🙏 Bethel Baptist Church (Ellicott City, MD) mobilized their entire congregation. Their Women's Mission Team brought 6 volunteers onsite, and the church collectively donated a wide range of essentials that stocked our shopping stations: hats, gloves, toiletries, beautiful gift bags, coloring books, puzzle books, and adult underwear.

🙏 Haven City Church volunteers worked alongside Bethel and our BRN team to welcome seniors, guide them through stations, and make sure every neighbor felt seen and cared for.

13 volunteers. 98 neighbors. One shared mission.

When churches, organizations, and communities come together, more people are served with dignity.

Last night at 12:30 AM Carlos was out with his team picking up food that was distributed out of the Compassion Center this morning.

Thank you team! We couldn't feed our neighbors without your amazing work.

Thanks to Amazon's generous diaper donation, our team was able to share diapers & baby essentials with 25 families last Monday, and then had the privilege of sharing nearly 30 cases of diapers with Our Lady of Fatima Church.
