The Queen's Reckoning
Chapter 4
King Rowan's eyes gleamed with calculation as he summoned Queen Kaida to his chambers.
"Enter," he called out, his voice ice cold
Queen Kaida swept into the room, her sightless eyes fixed on the king. "You summoned me,your highness''
"I've received reports of your... unusual behavior, my queen. I must say, I'm intrigued" said king Rowan, while looking out the window
Queen Kaida's expression remained serene, but a hint of playfulness crept into her voice, her sightless eyes gives off a chilly aura "I'm not sure what you're referring to, your highness."
The king's face turned colder the playfulness in her voice is seen as a challenge by the king. "don't try to play games on me. I know all about your little... outbursts.
He slowly turn around and majestically walk to her front,his aura domineering, his eyes glinting with challenge. "Tell me, my queen... what's behind this sudden change¿"
Continuation: Queen Kaida's expression remained enigmatic, but she nodded slightly. "Yes, Brynhild a walk sounds... refreshing."
'You should eat more to have more strength'' the old queen encouraged her voice devoid of the previous coldness and command but is full of care and fondness...
As the morning wore on, the castle's inhabitants engaged in various activities. Elara, the head healer, tended to her herbs in the garden after which she treats the queen's wound, while Lord Ryker met with the king's guards to discuss the kingdom's security.
In the evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, King Rowan summoned Queen Kaida to his private chambers.

Chapter 3: Dinning with the King and the assembly
''She didn't fight you a vengeful spirit did'' woman said still with her eyes
The following morning Brynhild came to wake Kaida saying there is a general dine with the king and others, after her bath Brynhild excitedly choose a grown with a deep V neck for her she frown and the sight of the cloth, ''let me feel it'' she requested, ''yes my lady'' with that Brynhild hand to cloth to her, after pretending to feel it the young queen express her dissatisfaction leaving Brynhild confused, this is the queen's favourite style so why the sudden change¿
After searching for a while the queen finally settle down with an indigo coloured , unlike the former dress the neck has a four corner neck cut creating a new look...
The door was opened by the guards... The queen is dressed in an indigo coloured long gown with a gold belt on her upper waist right below her cleavage which highlight her figure, her hair was simple yet beautiful, the long curly hair is packed in a high ponytail.
In the grand dining hall, the king, resplendent in his finery, stood tall, surveying the gathering with a keen eye. The elders, wise and venerable, took their seats, their faces etched with lines of experience and knowledge.
At the far end of the hall, a figure emerged, her steps hesitant, yet dignified. Queen Kaida, her sightless eyes gleaming with a quiet strength, moved with a grace that belied her disability. Her attendant Brynhild guided her, her hands gentle on the queen's elbow, as she escorted her to the table.
The Old Queen, Kaida's devoted mother-in-law, watched with a warm smile, her eyes shining with affection. She had always been fiercely protective of her son's wife, and now, as Kaida took her seat, the Old Queen's gaze never wavered, her attention riveted on the young queen ''mother'' the young queen call out to her and her smile deepens...
As the king raised his hands, the roomraised his hands, the room fell silent, the only sound the soft clinking of utensils against plates. The feast was about to begin, and with it, a night of intrigue, politics, and hidden agendas.
But for now, all eyes were on Queen Kaida, her face serene, her presence commanding, could it be because she is not wearing her blind fold¿, The question on everyone's mind was: what secrets lay hidden behind those sightless eyes? because she was never like this before now her aura...
King Rowan's voice cut through the silence, his words laced with a subtle challenge. "Tell me, Queen Kaida, what do you think of the proposed law to restrict the rights of the disabled¿"
His gaze locked onto hers, searching for a flicker of emotion, a hint of weakness. The assembly held its breath, sensing the king's true intentions.
Queen Kaida's expression remained cold, her sightless eyes unwavering. "I think it's a ridiculous notion, one that reeks of ignorance and fear."
Her voice was cold, detached, and calculating. The king's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications. This was not the timid, submissive queen he had married,and this confirm his doubt... something is wrong somewhere
The Old Queen's face turned beet red with rage as she slammed her hand on the table. "When did this proposed law come to pass¿" she thundered, her voice echoing through the hall. "I was not aware that such a law was even being considered!"
Her gaze swept the room, daring anyone to contradict her. The assembly shifted uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact with the irate Old Queen.
King Rowan's expression remained calm, but a hint of satisfaction danced in his eyes. "I believe it was proposed during the last council meeting, Mother," he said, his voice smooth as silk.
The Old Queen's face darkened further. "I was not informed of any such proposal," she spat, her voice venomous. "And I certainly would not have approved of such a ridiculous and discriminatory law."
Queen Kaida's expression remained serene, her sightless eyes fixed on some point beyond the assembly. But a hint of a smile played on her lips, a small, enigmatic smile that sent a shiver down the spines of those who noticed it.
After the meal the king raise from his sit and without uttering a work he turns and leave the hall with his right hand man Lord Ryker following him closely.
The assembly murmured relieved to escape the strained atmosphere. As they filed out of the hall after the king's departure, whispers circulated about the queen's sudden change.
Brynhild, the queen's maid, approached Queen Kaida, her voice low. "My lady, perhaps a walk in the gardens would be beneficial¿ The fresh air might clear your head."
Queen Kaida's expression remained enigmatic, but she nodded slightly. "Yes, Brynhild a walk sounds... refreshing."

...something is not right''said the king within him, the Kaida will not sleep that peaceful knowing he's out to get his lover and when he told her he didn't come home with his lover her face...it was contoured in pain instead of the expected happiness and her eyes seems to focus at that moment, the coldness, the indifference is not like the Kaida he knows
It was unknown how many minutes passed but the door finally open and close, soon the cedarwood scent in the room depreciate leaving a little lingering scent, Kaida sign for being exhausted both mentally and emotionally, she once again lost appetite so she stood up and went to the window, she open it and enjoy the fresh air caressing her skin, her smooth skin glowing under the reflection of the moon, it would have been a breathtaking view if only there is joy on the queen's face, rather than the melancholic look in her eyes, the air around her gives off a longing poetic voice ting with sadness...
That night was bound to be sleepless as a certain person is drafting her escape plan but not only them...
Somewhere in the woods a lady in white is sitted with her legs folded, her palms together and her eyes closed her lips muttering something that couldn't be heard because it is said in whispers, despite the whispers being very low it still echo in the hall, the scene gives off a creepy felling, full of mysteries, unexpectedly the woman blurt out ''vengeful spirit!'' Startling the person before her, ''she didn't fight you a vengeful spirit did''...

Chapter 2: The return of her greatest nemesis
Eira spent the remaining hours of the day in her chamber battling with the voices speaking in her head.
Eira you can't keep this child, you have to fake an accident!
Kaida remember that it's your egg,your flesh and blood!
Eira don't forget he gave your murderer the command to kill you!
Kaida this is your greatest wish,to conceive his child!
Eira he is your greatest nemesis, your enemy is your enemy!

Shut up! She could not help but sign in frustration, she is tired of her soul struggling to influence the heart so she decided to take a nap, she never knew rebirth will be this tiring but one thing is sure she can never accept the king, she plan on leaving the palace after avenging the murderer of the body, at this stage no one is to be trusted, it is uncertain if Brynhild actually left to get the tea she said she was going to bring, or who else could have attacked her¿ Another thing she notice is that all the blind fold are too dark,it's impossible to see through it, for a person that already react to bright light, shouldn't the blind fold be light in other to familiarise her to light reflection¿¿ Too many enemies! She feel surrounded, first she have to find a reason to stop using the blind fold, at least she will be able to see peoples expression, making her eyes lose focus does not mean she really can't see, but... ''knock'', her thought was interrupted by the knock followed by Brynhild's voice, ''my lady it's time for your afternoon massage, may I come in¿''She asked, ''yes come in'' kaida's voice was faint ''thank you my lady''
During the massage Eira asked ''before you went to get the tea, did you notice any other person's presence¿'' ''no my lady, it was only you and I in the garden, the tea processing took a while in other to make it to your preference, but..whe.n I.. she choke on her sobs ''don't cry'' said Kaida with a frown ''am sorry my lady'' she quickly apologize trying to suppress her emotions ''when I came back I saw you laying down unconscious in a pull of blood l rush back immediately and send for the head healer before bringing you back to the room, I was so scared because when I was cleaning the blood your body was..was already cold I..I thought you were de..d. dead but thank goodness you are alive''then she sniffed after she finish her story, it is clear that she has been crying and her voice is a little hoarse, due to the effect of the massage or probably pregnancy hormone she fell asleep, seeing that she's asleep Brynhild remove the queen's blind fold to make her more comfortable...
An aroma drift into her nostrils,making her turn in her sleep, after a while she sit up and look around it was already dark, she yarn and stretch lazily, so she slept from the afternoon into the evening, just as she was about to leave the bed her nose caught a strange yet familiar scent, the scent of cedarwood fill the room and Kaida made her eyes lose focus out of instinct, from the corner of her eyes she can see a blur shadow in the dark, in other to perfect her pretense she stretch her hand towards the night stand to ring the maid bell on it, but before her hand could touch it a cold hand held her hand, she tries to pull her hand back but the grip was strong, her blood was boiling with anger and a little bit of fear, her heart was filled with resentment after all he is just coming back after destroying her home, her loved ones, her dear father, suppressing so much emotions her body begin to shake, this monster killed her father, a hint of surprise flash through the kings eyes, he was not expecting her to emit such a strange but strong aura which she don't seem to be faking, without warning she apply force and withdraw her hand leaving her wrist sore from the impact, this caught the king of guard, he frown his brows and grab her hand again causing her the flare up ''what did you want from me your majesty¿!'' she question with a raising voice which deeply annoy king Rowan ''seems pregnancy give you quite a temper'' he said, his voice low, cold and dangerous, she could not help but shiver but she refuse to back down ''am hungry, your highness please I need to eat'' she said swiftly changing the topic, strange, so strange, ''I went to the wrong location this time but next time I will bring her back'' he said deliberately so as to watch her reaction as he releases her wrist, his action full of elegance, at the mention of the kingdom she belong she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest and she immediately clutch her chest, ''wrong place¿'' and he said it so casually like the habitats of that place are not humans, is he even human¿!! After stabilizing her emotions she drop her hand and put on a forced smile ''I dare not ask about your personal matter'' in other words her business...
Continuation...Opening her eyes again she feels better but an indescribable angry is rising within her, Eira sit up and look around, Yes she has been REBORN into a Queen's body, but the problem is that the queen is not loved by the king and the original body is blind, she lives under the protection of her mother in-law who loved her so much, her mother in-law even help her drug her son getting them to sleep together, it hurts that due to the original body's blindness has no images from the owners memories only voices, though several servant shows her respect few still say it to her hearing that she is not worthy of the king and that she is just a stand in for the kings lover, anytime she is insulated like that she will cry back to her room but won't do anything because she can't even see the person, ''oh how foolish'' complain Eira, and this time she lost her life because the king said she is useless and can't even protect herself, she blindly went to the garden with her personal maid Brynhild ready to practice, after awhile the maid left to get her a tea, shortly after she suddenly felt a sharp pain on her thigh and another on her wrist she wanted to scream but her mouth was covered, because of the excessive blood loss she lost consciousness (to put it nicely) but to put it bluntly she died and another soul entered her body, that was the last thing in the body's memory, so now she not only have to seek revenge for herself but also for the body's owner, she also have to use a blind fold in other not to arouse any suspicion, she sit up and look around the room seeing that it's empty she sign with relief, she familiarise herself with the environment before reaching the take the blind fold from the table...
Just then the door open and Brynhild step in leaving the door closed behind her, she happens to see the queen stretching her hand towards the table, ''my lady you are awake'' she said with excitement, hearing the voice Eira immediately blink making her eyes loose focus, looking just like a blind person, Brynhild immediately step forward and help her with the blind fold, ''maybe I was just imagining things''she thought within her ''my lady how do you feel now¿'' She ask carefully, ''I feel much better'' Eira reply, I went to the kitchen to get warm water to clean your body but since you are awake I will go and prepare your bath she said before leaving for the bathroom...
After she dress up she heard a voice outside the door saying your highness then an announcement followed ''my lady her highness is here''with that the door open and a unique scent fill the room Eira immediately stand up to welcome her ''mother in-law'' soon a warm embrace elope her ''oh dear you are awake! You don't have to work so hard trying to please him again, now that your are pregnant just focus on yourself okay¿'' The old queen said before helping her to sit, but in all she said Eira only one thing stick to her brain,she is pregnant for the person that sent someone to kill her!! Why on earth is fate playing such tricks on her¿ Seeing her shocked expression the old queen thinks she is happy ''I know you will be happy'' she said patting her back lightly, don't worry when my son comes back I will tell him and he won't dear ignore you again... Eira clenched her fist trying to suppress the indescribable feeling rising in her chest, seeing her like this the old queen became worried ''don't worry even if he brings back a mistress I will protect you'', in other not to worry that old queen she forced a smile to reassure her ''okay I won't think about it anymore'' Eira said another knock came at the door and Brynhild announce her coming in, she brought food for the queen, ''you should eat you have been asleep for a day and a night''the old queen encouraged, of course she is very hungry but don't seem to have appetite because her already ruined mood is further ruined by the news of her pregnancy, but under the watchful eyes of her mother in-law she has to eat like a happy mother to be, ''my son will be back few hours
from now''said the old queen.

Chapter 1:Rebirth
She's awake! Said a strange voice ting with excitement, she can remember clearly that she was fighting with her ex fiancee after she had successfully killed his father using the body of the mistress he cheated on her with, but suddenly she black out and here she is hearing strange voices in her ears saying she's awake, isn't she dead yet¿ She can still remember how the person sent by king of northern Ireland killed her brutally, the pain of the sword passing through her chest still feels real..., even in the after life her greatest nemesis is the king of northern Ireland, king Rowan!!
After much struggle she manage to open her eyes but due to the brightness she immediately squint her eyes, ''am sorry my lady''said an anxious voice before hurrying towards the window to draw the curtin"
Eira was shocked by that address is she now a princess in the after life¿ Or could it be she was saved¿ No! her heart was stabbed multiple times! ''My lady are you okay¿'' another voice asked her voice full of concern, opening her eyes again she look at the strange faces by her side and subconsciously frown her brows, seeing her discomfort one of them thoughtfully fetch her a cup of water with trembling hands and help her sit after taking just a sip wave of dizziness hit her and...
''Head healer Elara the queen.. her..r eyes seems focused just now'' said Brynhild with a hint of doubt, ''yes I see that'' replied Elara before falling into a deep thought, although the queen is blind she still react to bright light and that is the reason why they both felt it's okay when she squint her eyes after waking up but just now the queen looked at their faces, ''it's too early to assume go and do your work and let the queen rest for a while she will wake up soon, she fell asleep again due to the stress and her condition add more to it'' Elara scold Brynhild before exiting the room.
Opening her eyes again she feels better but an indescribable anger...
