The DSS launched a surprised raid in Bojinji village, the outskirt of Bauchi during which they captured a notorious bandit that nobody in the village ever expected him to be a criminal. He and some members of his family relocated to Bauchi from Zamfara where he claimed to be fleeing persecution, and as you know, Bauchi has been one of the most favourable destinations for Fulani people who are affected by conflicts. But never the less, some bad people could use this strategy to mask their crimes and start a new life.

Millions of naira were found and a huge cache of ammunition were reportedly recovered from the house raid.

It wasn't until after the raid that some people started asking a lot of questions. One of the apprehended suspects was known for spending a whole day drinking alcohol at Unguwar Yelwan Angas, and buying booze for others, frittering away thousands of naira everyday. But nobody ever suspected him of anything. But the DSS had an eye to the ground. It traces the money.

People should help the authorities by keeping eyes on strange people who appear to live large, far beyond their means.
