On August 5th, 2025, a serious incident happened at the Abuja airport involving music legend K1 De Ultimate on a ValueJet flight to Lagos.

According to FAAN, he attempted to board the plane with a flask containing alcohol; a clear violation of airport security rules. He was warned by both AVSEC officers and the flight captain, but he refused to comply. Things escalated when he allegedly spilled the drink on a security officer.

Even after that, he went and stood in front of the aircraft, refusing to move; causing a delay for everyone on board. At one point, he was nearly hit as the plane slowly tried to taxi forward. The situation could have turned dangerous.

For this, NCAA Set to Ban Fuji Star K1 De Ultimate from Flying in Nigeria for 6 Months Over Airport Misconduct; Pilot Also Faces Suspension.
