A call for Referendum ...

There are several instances that suggest Nigeria is not a homogeneous nation. Nigeria comprises three main regions: the north, south east, and west, each containing minority groups with diverse cultural heritages and languages. Notably, the north has a distinct cultural understanding that differs significantly from the south east and west, which tend to be more accommodating of each other, whereas the north's rigid tendencies create divisions. For instance, it is challenging for Igbo and Hausa people to coexist, whereas Yoruba and Igbo people can more easily share a compound, which is unlikely to happen between Hausa and Yoruba. In the north, Fulani people often separate from other tribes in states like Kano and Kaduna, and Christians are frequently marginalized, relegated to areas known as Sabongeri. Furthermore, Hausa people rarely integrate with Christians, who are perceived as infidels, highlighting the apparent incompatibility.
