A survey by Jobberman, a leading recruitment agency in the West African region, provides another damning statistic.

According to the survey, taken by almost 90,000 people, 47% of the country’s university graduates are unemployed in Africa’s largest economy. By some estimates Nigerian tertiary education institutions produce up to 500,000 graduates every year and there are also Nigerian graduates who study abroad who come home to compete for jobs.

Imagine if we can empower 10% of this fresh graduates every year to become Modern Farmers.

To us winning $1 million at the Hult Prize International Competition 2018, isn't just about a completion. We see the impact we can create even afterwards, not just for a select few but for our Nation at large. We can help our government deliver the change they promised especially in the Agricultural sector. In 5 years we plan to train and set over 5000 young people up with Modern Farms to produce healthy and affordable food in every community. We are taking Nigeria back to the days when agriculture was her major source of income.
