👶👶👶A new study confirms the importance of non-invasive prenatal tests in pregnancies without risk factors

Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPTs) are playing an increasingly important role in pregnancy care, both worldwide and in Nigeria . Until recently, obstetricians and gynecologists recommended NIPT only to pregnant women with risk factors (advanced maternal age, ultrasound findings for chromosomal defects or increased risk reported after biochemical screening).
Today, however, more and more specialists are following the current recommendations of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, stating that NIPT should be made available to all pregnant women.
